New venue owners run a weekly open mic and aim to resume slams this fall as well.

AWOL, Third Sundays | 7 PM | Free, also at the Bean
A.W.O.L Inc. is 501c3 youth intervention and arts agency, an organization of poets, hip-hop artists, and performers. The goal of the organization is to promote and provide self-awareness to people of all ages within the community. AWOL Inc. also provides local business and artists the opportunity to network and promote their business or talent at all poetry readings and productions.
